The study utilizes available education statistics and household surveys, exploring the relationship between kindergarten enrollment and primary education indicators.\nThe analysis reveals that the net enrollment rate in primary education has increased\nfollowing K– 12 , with a stronger correlation between preschool and primary enrollment. However, intraregional disparities persist, even including Metro Manila. The study also identifies gaps for improvement in preschool enrollment rates. Future research should focus on micro-level empirical analysis and assess cognitive and noncognitive skills, gender differences, and regional and social stratification.
