| 内容記述 | Kyoritsu Women’s University and Junior College has set "The Kyoritsu Leadership" as its educational policy, promoting leadership education that specifically supports the independence and self-sufficiency of women. The Business Faculty, established in 2020, has introduced leadership development as a mandatory course, providing education that allows students to actively demonstrate leadership. This education is based on the concept of "leadership without authority," where anyone can demonstrate leadership regardless of their position. Kyoritsu Women’s University has implemented a system called "Learning Assistant (LA)," where LAs use their own leadership development experience to support the learning of lower-year students. Since the 2020 academic year, LA activities have been credited and successfully integrated into the curriculum of the Business Faculty. Furthermore, in the 2024 academic year, a new course titled "Introduction to Facilitation Practice" will be offered, aiming to deepen LA candidates’ technical skills and understanding of their roles, as well as enhance psychological safety within the LA community. This study aims to measure the effect of pre-education for LA candidates through the "Introduction to Facilitation Practice" by comparing the understanding of key terms in the course and psychological safety before and after the course, between students enrolled in the course and LAs. A two-way ANOVA with attributes (students/LA) and time points (pre/post) as factors was conducted, with the understanding of course keywords and psychological safety as dependent variables. The results showed main effects of both attributes and time points, as well as interaction effects of attributes × time points, in the following areas: ① facilitation, ② roles of LA and LAA, ③ logical writing, ④ work-life balance, ⑤ question meetings, ⑥ leadership to be demonstrated as an LA, LAA, and psychological safety. Furthermore, coaching showed a main effect of time points, while material creation and communication showed main effects of both attributes and time points. These results indicate that the understanding of course keywords and psychological safety of both students and LAs improved after taking the "Introduction to Facilitation Practice" course. |
