| 内容記述 | The purpose of this paper is to first make it clear that the detailed process of the teacher education development in Kyoritsu Women’s Vocational School when it was miscellaneous school, 1886-1920. Secondary, the several reasons why they chose their transition to the new school type in 1920 are examined. Because the Meiji government regulated to offer the subject “sewing” in the elementary school for the girls and a lot of “sewing” teachers were getting needed, the school began to focus on the teacher education. The enhancement of their education and graduates’ skills built the school’s reputation and made her high leveled institution which produced the secondary school teachers. There were found a couple of government financial aids around 1920, which aimed to broaden the eligible schools, include private schools and demand miscellaneous schools into the nationally regulated secondary schools. In exchange for the national regulation and financial benefits, Kyoritsu Women’s Vocational School changed her school type and consolidated her leading position as a teacher education institution. | |||||||||||||
