| 内容記述 | In this research note, the following considerations are made. In noun predicative sentences of the form “～ noga N da” when the predicate noun is a generic noun, it cannot function as an identificational sentence, and the subject noun phrase becomes an expression characterizing the predicate noun phrase. The characterizing expression “～ noga N da” has the same form as a GA-cleft sentence, but differs from a GA-cleft sentence in that the corresponding non-cleft sentence cannot be set. The characterizing expression “～ noga N da” can express the same meaning by means of “monoda sentence” in which the subject noun phrase and the predicate noun phrase are interchanged. |
