内容記述 | This research chronologically traces the tailoring, design, and technical characteristics found in children's clothing from the Momoyama period, when existing products were first found, to the Edo period, and then to the Meiji period. The purpose is to clarify the relationship with the historical events of dyeing and weaving. In this paper as a research result, we report what I learned from research on children's clothing from the Momoyama period to the early Showa period. First, it was found that the decoration techniques and designs of children's clothing during the Momoyama period were not significantly different from those of adult clothing, with some exceptions. In the world of the feudal system centered on the samurai family, whether or not the inheritance of the family by boys was smooth was greatly related to the security of the family or the ups and downs of family luck. Reflecting this, in the Edo period, in most cases, one or four samurai boys had auspicious patterns, horses, dogs, and tigers that reminded them of their energy, in prayer for their safe growth. .. On the other hand, the patterns on girls' kimonos generally have plant motifs, which is not much different from that of adult women. However, when children's clothing is viewed historically from existing relics, the influence of Western advanced culture on the Meiji Restoration is greater than that of adult clothing. Because the children are physically more vulnerable than an adult, they are strongly influenced by advanced medicine and the improvement of living environment, and it is no longer necessary to demand magical effects from clothes. |
